Pet Sitter

Hogan and I are going on a trip in April. This will mean leaving our 3 cats alone for a couple of days, which is normally fine because we have family next door who can come over and take care of them while we’re gone.  However, this time will be different because they will also be away during part of the same time, so I had to come up with another solution: A Pet Sitter.

A got a recommendation from a friend of mine for a local (Summerville) Pet Sitter, so I gave her a call and we set up a meeting for this morning at 10am. I normally get up around 8:30, so 10am shouldn’t have been a problem…

Hogan had been on an overnight trip and came home last night. I guess we stayed up a little late chatting because I woke up at 8:30, as normal, and then closed my eyes for a SECOND and… ding dong

It was 10am and I was still in bed. Blerg.

I grabbed my robe, flew down the stairs and opened the door. There she was, all smiles and sunshine, and I think my hair was actually in my face.  She came in and we had a lovely interview. She seems really great and I am glad to have her take care of my kitties while we’re away. I’m just a little embarrassed that I was still sleeping at 10am! I even still had the wrinkles on my skin from the sheets, lol.

Anyway, if you’re in the S’ville area and need a pet sitter/dog walker, give her a ring – she’s really kind and loves animals. She doesn’t even care if you answer the door in your robe.
