A lesson in love
Have you ever learned something unexpectedly? Like, you’re going along in life and… wham! You see something from a different angle, or in a different light and you wonder why you’d never seen it like that before.
That happened to me today. I got a bad scratch on my arm and Hogan immediately took over and made sure I was ok. He took such tender care of me that it struck me: He treated me more lovingly than I treat myself.
Its hard to explain what I “learned” exactly. Its more of a paradigm shift, where I realized something that was right in front of me. There are days where I will exhaust myself with self-criticism. If Hogan can treat me with so much love, then dang it, so can I.
It’s hard to fight an enemy who has outposts in your head. ~Sally Kempton, Esquire, 1970
That sweetheart of yours has a great head on his shoulders… and heart in his chest. smooch him. Big.
