Decaf
So… remember that post I wrote about coffee? That I get a headache if I don’t drink the caffeine?
Well, I’m also trying to loose weight and I know that caffeine is a hindrance to that. I thought I could somehow skirt around that little detail, but after 6 months of frustration I’m going to change to decaf and Diet 7-Up.
I realize this means migraines for me for the next 3 days, but I think I’ll be better off in the long run.
Meanwhile, I got some decaf yesterday, and its pretty delish, so I’m happy about that. Now… where’s the Advil?
I think that’s a great idea. Perhaps the pain won’t be as bad or last as long as you expect, but even if it does, it will DEFINITELY be worth it in the long run. It sucks to feel enslaved to ANY kind of addictive substance, I think.

Thanks! I had some decaf this morning, as well as a few Advil and lots of water… but the headache looks like its coming anyway… I’ll keep you posted.

Day 2… still have headache, but its much easier to bear today
It is difficult to wean yourself away from something like caffeine. I believe that you will be able to succeed in whatever you put your mind to, Heather.

Thanks, Terry! I guess that’s the secret, isn’t it? Putting one’s mind to something. We’re all capable of such huge things, if only we’d put our mind to it.
Ok, so caffeine is out, and I’m also doing my best to keep FAR away from high fructose corn syrup and MSG – both of which are EVERYWHERE!
To be honest, this is kind of fun – I’ve made it into a sort of game.
